The Organizers of Save The Youths Conference empowers young Entrepreneurs with over Two Hundred Thousand naira, while encouraging the youths to embrace entrepreneurship

On Sunday 17th January, 2021, Akwa Ibom Youths’ gathered at Royalty Hotels and Recreation in an event tagged;



The annual event which has come to stay, is an initiative by Isaac Nice with the support of His partners, who are passionate in youth development and celebration. They therefore saw the need to start an event that will focus on celebrating Youths’ of Akwa Ibom extract yearly.

This years’ edition witnessed the invention of a new program tagged; The Pitch.
Six (6) young Entrepreneurs Pitched wonderful business ideas and at the end, a team of young software developers won the prize with their Education software idea for students of Tertiary Institutions as other pitchers where given consolated 

Another highpoint of the event was a short charge by the Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources, Pst. Umo Eno and I quote;


“Whenever God sends you, know that it is an experience for where you are going to and wherever you find yourself; always show commitment and be very diligent because there is always a time of wilderness before you come forth.
Also speaking, The Executive Director of Akwa Ibom Internal Revenue Service (AKIRS), Pst. Leo Leo Umana charged the Youths saying “It is high time our young people are encouraged to know that they have to start somewhere, start from a little beginning and remain focused.


Most of the successful people in the society did not become rich as soon as they started.

They kept their eyes on the ball and worked hard, harnessing their potentials and bearing the pains in the struggles before they got to the top.”

Also featuring at the event;
A Round-Table discussion on the topic;
Entrepreneurship; the new Oil for Akwa Ibom Youths.

Pst. Bolaji AdeIsrael (Clergy and Entrepreneur);



Mr Essien Ndueso (Media Aide to Governor);
Mr Inyang James (Entreprenuer);
Mrs Iniobong Otuekong (Entreprenuer) and;
Mr Moses Armstrong (Nollywood Veteran Actor).
where discussions were carried out and the audience contributed to the topic as well.



Teenscript Magazine organized Essay Competition among Secondary Schools students and prizes were awarded to winners.

 

Rounding up the event was the announcement of;
‘Most Outstanding Youth’ Award and ‘The Pitch’ winners.

Mr Akan Udom (Entreprenuer) won ‘Most Outstanding Youth’ (Male) while


Miss Imaobong Uboh (Philanthropist & Politician) won ‘Most Outstanding Youth’ (female).


WillsTech Resources won #ThePitch Business Competition grand prize of N100,000 


while others went home with with consolation prizes
