A'Ibom Youths will Partner with the Church to Ensure Peaceful Elections - Iwaudofia
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Matters, Comrade Aniefiok Wilson Iwaudofia has said that youths in Akwa Ibom State will collaborate with the church to ensure a seamless electioneering season in Akwa Ibom State.
The Governor's Aide stated this on Sunday during the March Edition of Akwa Ibom Youth Prayer Conference held at the Power of Covenant Ministry International, Itiam Etoi, Uyo LGA with the Theme "Greatness of His Power."
Speaking further, Iwaudofia said there was need to seek God's face during the electioneering period, saying as those interested in the future, Akwa Ibom youths will remain fervent in advocating for peace.
"For us the youths, we are praying that 2023 elections will be peaceful. Election is a process, from the pre-election, to the actual election and then the post-election period. So, the youths of Akwa Ibom State will collaborate with the church to ensure we have a seamless electioneering season in our dear State. We're not only praying for Akwa Ibom but Nigeria as a whole, because what affects other states can affect us", he said.
He called on the church to assist the government through preachings on peace, unity and harmony.
Comrade Iwaudofia who doubles as Chairman, Akwa Ibom Youth Caucus also admonished the people to follow God's directives regarding the gubernatorial elections in the state.
"We're at a very critical time in Akwa Ibom State. The decision that we make now can make or mar Akwa Ibom State. We have to look at the people who want to be Governor in 2023 and if you allow God to speak to you, you'd realise that the best product that we have is Pastor Umo Eno", he said.
He seized the opportunity to appreciate God for His grace and the support of the youths since he was promoted to the rank of Senior Special Assistant on Youth Matters, four years ago by Governor Udom Emmanuel.
Earlier in her homily drawn from Psalms 66:3, Evang. Miriam Edet, charged the youths to be steadfast, faithful and thankful to God inorder to experience the greatness of God's power.
The well attended service moderated by Chairman of Youth Prays Committee, Evang. Christopher Jerry featured song ministration, special prayer session for the state and nation, goodwill messages, word impartation and recitation of the Dakkada Creed.
